Birth Kit Packing Day!Birth Kit Packing Day! - Sunday, 1 May 2011
Hello Students!!

On Sunday May 1, 2011 a group of worker bee's organised by student midwives at UTS organised for birth kits to be packed and sent out to third world countries to help with the atrocious rates of women and babies dying as a result of childbirth or complications associated with childbirth.

The Birthing Kit Foundation of Australia (BKFA) provides the birthing kits and education in clean birthing practices to women and families in these countries.

Congratulations to everyone that attended or donated time or money to the cause. It took just on 2 hours to pack 600 kits that will be sent this week to Kandahar in Afghanistan.

For information on the The Birthing Kit Foundation of Australia (BKFA), click the link below!
